Purgatory Park in San Marcos, TX

Well it had been ages since my last post but I forgot to mention my morning yesterday. I decided to go for a hike with the dog at Purgatory Park. Specifically Dante's trail. It is a 4.1 mile trail and the best way back is to turn around and walk it back. So we took about 3 hours to hike the 8 miles. We emerged exhausted and sweaty but really enjoyed the walk. Well I did, Wicket may have hated every step.

Marcus grew these flowers.

These are the flowers that we planted together, watered together, and now they are blooming.

Updates are slow to arrive

Hi, Well sorry about that it seems I've not written as many updates as perhaps I should have.
Silly me. I went on an interview today for a job. It's for some sort of Software QA or something.
I'll keep looking but I think I'd rather work in Clarksville than Nashville as the drive to Nashville is really something. I mean I could do it but I'd rather not given the choice. Yesterday everything was covered in ice. So much ice that great huge trees were snapping. There was a yard down the road from me that had a rather large tree fall crushing his fence and land in the street. It had to be all sawed up to make the road passable again. yes it's the Ky,Tn Border but it's not the rural middle of no where. The population of Clarksville is about 50k I believe and it's not really a bad town at all. I'm learning my way around and let me tell you it's much faster to go through town than to try to take Hwy 24 anywhere. I think I've not quite figured that part out yet. There's a decent indoor mall here oh oh and both Krystal Burger and White Castle. Having said that it's terribly ironic that we've actually not eaten out but twice maybe since arriving. She enjoys cooking and since we went to the commissary there's not a shortage of food. There have been a couple of her friends from her schooling in San Antonio that have come over for dinner and that's nice that she people that she knows that she can talk to/ hang out with. A few days ago I bought a webcam so that I can talk face to face with Marcus and anyone else that dares to look at my funny looking self on here. I see that I tend to change topics quite frequently and should probably using separate paragraphs, another time perhaps. We've purchased a new washer and dryer. They are red and they are front loaders. I'm not sure of the draw on that but I can tell you that it says they are steam machines, yes both the washer and the dryer use steam to do their jobs. Putting steam in dryer sounds counter productive to me but the clothes do come out dry so I'll let it continue to be a mystery. Here is a link to a short video of the show from this morning. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PDg1XAIjtYY

Here is a picture or two. I really must try to update this more often.
